Are you a fighter?
Are you someone that gives up, or do you fight for what matters to you?
Society tends to condition us to give up when something is more difficult than we anticipated. We are taught to give up when something takes a direction that is different to what we had in mind or expected. Giving up is easy. Fighting on is hard.
What if life is just testing you? “Does this really matter?” And if it does, do you have the stamina, the willpower and the heart to fight on?
Most of the time you fight alone. But, each and every time you’re in this battle, you reaffirm your values, your vision, your desire and your quest. You push your boundaries, you push your comfort zones. Often times it will hurt. It will hurt emotionally, it will hurt mentally and it might hurt physically. But life teaches us that you grow through pain because you discover your own limits during this time. You discover your greatest potential that lies just beyond your comfort zones.
2017 has taught me that we are all on different paths and at different stages of our journey. It has taught me that it is ok to fight for what matters to you and to love yourself and those around you unconditionally at the same time.
One thing that I will take into 2018, and I hope you do too, is that I will carry on fighting. I will carry on fighting for what matters. I will carry on fighting for the people that matter, for those that should be in my life and the ones that need their voice to be heard, because sometimes you have to fight not just for yourself, but for others as well. I will carry on fighting for love, for my values and my dreams.
When you are balanced, centered and steadfast on your path, the energy and the spirit that you radiate will start affecting those around you. Once this happens, the people that matter will start gravitating towards you.
2018 is the year where you need to put yourself first. Not in a selfish way, but in a way that aligns with your values and beliefs, your desires, goals, and visions. Be authentically you and don’t live in the shadows and opinions of others.
We are all on journeys, but the most important one is the one that you are currently on. However, the moment you let something or someone push you off your path, a whirlwind of uncertainty ripples not just through you, but into and through everyone else that’s close to you.
2017 has taught me that it is OK to be confused and unsure at times. It has taught me that it is ok to ask for help and to look for guidance, as long as you are open to receiving it. Once you are, you will see the world unfold into its magnitude, right in front of your eyes.
Get into the arena!
Start 2018 with a fresh, clear and balanced mindset, a new vision and most importantly, with a fighting spirit.
Don’t be afraid. Fight for what you stand for. Remember that fighting spirit within you, even when you get pushed down along the way. You are part of something much larger. If you can believe in this and gain strength through this, you will stride forward, create a new path and make 2018 the most epic year you’ve ever had in your life.
In the words of Osho, “My love is unconditional and it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks about that.” I hope yours is too. May 2018 fan the flames of your spirit and the Phoenix within you rise to new heights!
